There are four semi-fixed cards in cardology, and they’re a set of twins. The A♣ is the card that sits Mercury/Venus in the spread. Mercury is the planet of learning and communication. Venus is the planet of love, demonstrating how you attract a man (if you’re a woman), and your finances. Venus also represents your values and personal possessions. Thus the A♣, is the card of new ideas. Clubs being a suit of thought and communication, the A♣ is excited about learning new information, starting new projects, and accomplishing new goals. The supporting and challenging karma cards to the A♣  are its twin, the 2♥.

The 2♥ is the card of love relationships. This is soulmate and long-term relationship energy. But don’t be fooled, this is also the card of the billionaire or mogul. Sitting in Venus/Neptune, this card is concerned with spirituality, love, and money. In fact, it may not see its own relationship clearly, sitting in that murky Neptune haze.

These twin energies fluctuate between each other. An A♣ person will sit in his own house when he’s twenty; and when he turns twenty-one, he’ll be in the house of the 2♥. At twenty-two, he’ll be back in his own house, the A♣. So what this means is, at twenty, he’ll be laser-focused on starting a new project. When he turns twenty-one, he’ll be focused on his love partnership. The reverse is true for the 2♥. One year she’ll be consumed with her mate, and the next year she’ll be into her studies or advancing in her career.

I often thought this was a tortured existence—to move between new ideas in semi-isolation one year and all over your lover the next; but some A♣/2♥ people have expressed their satisfaction with their ability to zero in on their interests. We’ll just have to ask their partners how they feel about being with an A♣ or 2♥. 😉

The other set of cardology twins are the 7♦, which is the Neptune card to the A♣, and the 9♥. The 7♦ is the card of the millionaire. Sitting Venus/Venus in the Grand Solar Spreads, it knows how to attract much fame and fortune. This is the card of spiritual values and money. It may also represent the loss of money when it’s sitting in its twin’s house, the 9♥.

The 9♥ is the card of wish fulfillment or long-distance/loss of relationships. Because this card sits Saturn/Saturn on the Spreads, it’s required to do the hard work and learn the strict lessons of the Great Teacher. This is the energy of patience and timing, knowing when to strike and make a move—the art of Kairos. Saturn, often associated with masculine energy, means the 9♥ may represent the loss of a dad, father-figure, or men who play an integral role in your life by way of death or simple physical departure.

These twin energies vacillate between their houses as well. A 9♥ person, at thirty-six, may be burdened with a long-distance marriage that results in divorce and at thirty-seven, hopeful and optimistic about the financial blessings she’s able to attract while sitting in the 7♦’s house.

I can attest to the fact that this is a tricky energy to navigate, and if you’re a brave soul who’s ventured into a long-term relationship with either of these twin energies, be prepared for a tumultuous emotional ride.
